I flew KCI > LAX for an under 48 hour trip with my friend Zach prior to meeting up with our other friends in Vegas for Emo Fyre Fest (aka When We Were Young Fest). We rode the train from DTLA to Santa Monica, listening to colorful language and screaming about the president and our grandfather’s involvement in Hiroshima from the transient folks on the train. Once we arrived in Santa Monica, we made a quick stop at Cult for drinks (the Pimms cup was great) and some food since we were starving. Afterwards, we walked to REI where I purchased a camera bag to sheath my camera from prying eyes. Next was a trip down Santa Monica Boulevard to the pier. Although I was a little apprehensive about bringing my Canon on public transit, I managed to fire off some good shots in Santa Monica that I’m happy with.
